250 big red engine trouble

i got a couple of questions
1) where is the pilot screw on the carb icouldnt find the stupid thing
2)what does advancing the timing do to the engine?
3)how do you set the timing on this three wheeler?

Under carb beside the floot bowl eng side. is a small brass piolot screw. kind of hard to get too, be careful not to brake the ears of the screw drive slot.
