Seems I cant get it to idle, for very long, any questions,

also it is unreliable in starting, sometimes needing to be pulled, and once it is running, it will die after about 30 mins, and seems to want to die if i give it gas?????:wtf:

have you rebuilt the carb? also check the intake boot (assuming it has one, I've never looked at mine up close) for cracks or other air leaks.

I'm going to throw this out there.......

Since this happens on 250sx's every now and then, check your gas cap, to make sure it is ventalating(is that even a word? ). They do have the vent on the gas cap right? Anyways if no air is flowing through the gas tank, then the carb can't suck fuel out, causing it to die after a few minutes, and making it hard to start. Also check to make sure your fuel line, and petcock are not obstructed. Once you make sure your fuel delivery is right, then check for air leaks. Spray carb cleaner around the connectors on the carb. i.e. airbox boot to carb, and carb to intake boot......do this while it is running and it if starts to rev higher than normal, then you've got an air leak in that area that needs to be fixed.

Hope I helped.

I have the same kind of problem with my 175. Check to see if your fuel pump is located nere the gas tank. I got mine to far from the tank and pump and was getting air pockets in it and not pumping out gas. So check the fuel pump out, and it's vacum operated.

you have to pull it of and blow air back through it to get the crap out of it. I use a carage bolt to remove the filter screen from the tank. they come out hard because of rust.
