Steve,
This IS normal, theres no gasket there, its metal to metal, just make sure theyve got clean surfaces and no marks,a little gasket sealant wont harm it when you put them back together.
Iv had 1 once (on an old TY 175 trial bike)that a previous owner had took them apart and looked like hed used a screwdriver to seperate them, made a right mess and jus blobbed sealnt all over it when put it back together,i never forget to check underneath when lookin at any bike or whatever now:doh:
Oh yeagh i sorted the clutch in mine, did i say??Took it out again yesterday, there were a few quads down there,WIPED the floor with them, but i will admit they aint the best riders iv seen!!Still good fun though, anyway i got carried away and was absolutely hammering the Z:D ,ran wicked all day then in last 1/2 hr there it blew a top end gasket:doh: (as i said though i got carried away cos of all quads there!!)
I bet the parts bloke @ Granbys rubs his hands together every time he sees me walk in £££££££££££££££££££££
