I tryed kicking this 200x over a couple of times and it shot a blue flame out of the carb with gray smoke.
I dont know if this 200x runs but it has good compression. I just wanted to post a question and see if this is a problem or is this normal for a bike that has been sitting for so long?

I've had that problem 2 seperate times on 2 different 20xx's. the first rime it was the timing was off and the second, i never really figured it out. i put the air filter back on and it stopped backfiring. it was like it was getting too much air and not enough fuel. i hope this will help you out.it could be your spark plug, unless it's a new one. if thats not it mabey kasey or someone else knows.

its the timing being set to fire to early ...the engine fires before the intake valve is closed..also it could be..weak valve springs causeing valve slap and escape of gases out of intake...uum valve clearance being off yb a mile resulting in the valve being slightly stuck open...
did the kick starter kick back when it fired?..
if it did its timing most likely..i spraigned my ankle i just rebuilt my x 12:1 and first kick my timing was set way wrong it fired driving the pistn back down and nailing the kickstarter back into my foot....now i gots ta kick start my bike with my left foot :bash:

good luck

I didnt kick back when it back fired. I just bought this 200x and dont know much about it. The carb is in need of cleaning and a rebuild but, I wanted to hear it run first so, I squirted some carb cleaner in it and kicked it over a few times but it just back fires. Before I spend a whole lot of money I just want to here it run. Im still getting over my 250r rebuild.
